What is a Plant-Based Diet?

Most people really don’t understand the importance of uncooked plant food. The green chlorophyll in plants is the remedy for wellness. This is the pigment that gives the green plant its color. No life is possible without chlorophyll, the blood of plants. Chlorophyll purifies the blood stream and also assists in wound healing, intestinal regularity, detoxification, and deodorization of the body. It also takes care of our body as it heals and cleanses all of our organs and will even destroy many of our internal enemies, such as pathogenic (anaerobic) bacteria, fungus, cancer cells, and so much more. Plants get their food from the soil and directly from the sun. Eating green leafy food is therefore the transfusion of sun energy to blood energy in the arteries. With high oxygen content in chlorophyll and a high mineral content in green plants, greens are the most alkalizing food that exists on the planet.

A plant-based diet is a diet that focuses around plant foods: fruits, vegetables, legumes, grains, nuts and seeds, and zero animal products, dairy and processed food. A plant-based diet reduces your risk of lifestyle related diseases. Most people in the U.S. don’t eat many vegetables or even like them. One common question is “Isn’t it hard to get protein from a plant-based diet?”There is protein rich plant food in dark green veggies, nuts, seeds and grains. Not only will you get all the protein you need, for the first time in your life you won’t suffer from an excess of it. If the protein content of your diet exceeds the amount you need, not only will your liver and kidneys become overburdened, but you will start leaching calcium from your bones to neutralize the excess animal protein that becomes acidic in the human body.

Eating live raw plants has been the best change I’ve made in my diet. I did not know that there was such an abundance and variety of plant foods. Plant food has made me slimmer, healthier, stronger, more energetic. I now love vegetables, and kale is my best friend. My health was restored with these simple diet changes. Not only has my creative side been enhanced but I think clearer, get better sleep, my weight has stabilized and I feel more connected to my spiritual self. I would recommend anyone to start small and change slowly.

THINGS TO PONDER:
Cutting out meat is huge for most people. As you eliminate meat, don’t just fill it with starches but with live plant food. Note how you feel. The good news is that you can eat as much raw plant food as you want until you feel satisfied. Cutting out the dairy and processed foods is next. I know what you “cheese lovers” are thinking: Not the Cheese! You can get creative with food in such a way that you can capture the taste and texture you are looking for. Will you join me in this revolution of change? Your taste buds and cravings will change, I promise! So this plant-based diet may require some planning, readings labels and discipline. But you can do it? Don’t you want to feel better and look younger? It’s all up to you! Go for it and don’t look back!
